Lifeline Child Sponsorship takes orphaned and abandoned children from the streets of Uganda, giving them an education and a home.

It is the work of the charity 'Lifeline Ministries East Africa', whose aim is to nurture the future leaders and qualified professionals this country so desperately needs. They believe that by providing each child with the opportunity to gain internationally recognized qualifications, and other life skills, Uganda’s children can change their own societies and economies from within.

Together we can make miracles happen. Not just for today, but by giving these children the skills to impact generations to come.

It Only Takes One

The Charity was started by the late Rev. David Thorpe who saw a huge need in the children we help and started by helping one child. There are over 2 Million Orphans in Uganda alone and though this can be daunting we can all start with one. We partner with Bishop Patrick Baligasima and his wife Pastor Felister Baligasima  in Africa who know exactly the needs of these children.

If we all took responsibility for one child imagine the difference  we could make in this part of the world.

To our children in Africa you are their first LINE of defense which could make the difference between LIFE on the streets, death or LIFE with a loving and caring family.You can make the difference! .

Lifeline Child Sponsorship

We offer direct sponsorship for orphaned children living in Uganda at a school called Agape School; Busembatia. It costs only £55 per term for a primary child and £65 per term for a secondary child. We have British sponsors who provide money each term for the orphans under our care to have food, water, shelter and an education.

Sponsoring one of our children is easy. You can pay monthly by direct debit or a one off payments per term. This can start from as little as £13.75 per month. If you feel this is too much a commitment you can part sponsor by paying as little as £5 a month.

You need not be limited or put off by this amount as the charity is involved in many animal, land and clothing projects.You could buy a chicken for £2 or a goat for £5. Our self sustaining projects help young children build for a better future giving them and their carers the tools to help themselves.

Our children run a scheme called Change 4 Change collecting pennies and each year we collect pennies which make pounds and help many children clothe themselves.

 You can be involved at what ever level you feel comfortable. We have built an orphanage in the last two years and we are planning to build a medical centre so please get in touch or email us ,we would love to hear from you.
