Sponsoring Children

Our children are precious and need our help. Many have no parents and others have been abandoned on the streets. Sponsorship means that the future is brighter and that poverty can become a thing of the past. Sponsorship or support can start from as little as £20 a month but we encourage people to support our children at whatever level can be managed. Every penny really does help these children. £5 a month will buy a chicken a month to help our children.

Building Orphanages and Schools

We have successfully completed an orphanage in the last two years and over 60 girls reside in this safe environment. We have built perimeter fences in order that our girls remain within a safe environment and we have some amazing plans to build a new boys orphanage this next few years. The cost of which is £130,000 once completed. Any funding or money raised will start this amazing, beautfiul and much needed building. At the moment our orphaned boys live within the school itself. This is preferable to being on the streets but we desire more for these children/ a safe home for them to live and grow up in.

In Soroti we have sort planning permission to build a Nursery school with our local contacts which will provide a safe, clean and loving environment for poverty stricken children within this area. £300,00.

Supporting Projects

As a charity we believe that we can give a helping hand in order that our children become more self sufficient. We help in projects which inolve livestock and generation of food and money thorugh these avenues. The costs of buying animals and vaccinating them is minimul considering the impact this can have on our children and their communities. We help to buy land to graise animals and grow food on.

Busembatia

In this small town we sponsor 180 children and where financially possible we help to support the school these orphans attend. (900 children). Food is a huge daily cost especially now recession has sent their food prices rocketing.Felister Baligasima and her Husband Patrick are our longstanding contacts here in Busembatia. (Known to us for last 10 years)

Over the last five years we have been working together with the Ugandans to set up self sustaining projects in order that the orphans and school children can begin to benefit from such projects. The ultimate aim is that these children and schools will become self sufficient and be able to support themselves and help other children in need.

The chicken project is a vital part of this. We have over 400 chickens now and this helps with the children's diets and the people come from the surrounding districts to buy the eggs. It is an amazing start and the vision is to continue to add to their live stock/chickens and help them to help themselves.

Soroti

This year we have set up a new centre for Lifeline Orphans in Soroti with a wonderful couple Winnie and George. Here it is difficult for orphans and poor children to access schooling and feed themselves adequately. Both our charity Doctor and I see the chicken project as a way for this community to be helped beyond our first assistance. Giving a future where self sufficiency is not just a dream but a real possibility.

 Chickens cost anything from chicks £2 up to £5. We have been buying chickens for £3 and vaccinations for £1.

Many supporters collect pennies from shops, markets, businesses and over the year these are brought together and most years poeples change often adds up to hundreds of pounds. The UK children have small collection boxes and love doing their bit for the chairy. You will be amazed how much can be created from peoples often through away chnage.
