SOURCE 2 RESOURCE - giving a hand up, not a hand out We are currently partnering with Source2Resource - an organisation dedicated to sourcing and purchasing quality products from growers in developing nations at a fair price, selling them via their website www.source2resource.net , and then using funds raised to provide much needed resources to communities around the world. Every time you buy online from Source2Resource, 10% of the purchase price will go directly to a charity of your choice. It means that every time you have a cup of tea or coffee from Source2Resource, you are helping to make a difference in the lives of people and communities around the world. So please choose us as your charity to support through Source2Resource, and why not tell your friends as well about this exciting new venture. It has the potential to change the world we live in by revitalising economies and helping our children create a better future.
SPONSORSHIP We offer direct sponsorship for orphaned children living in Uganda at a school called Agape School; Busembatia. It costs only £55 per term for a primary child and £65 per term for a secondary child. We have British sponsors who provide money each term for the orphans under our care to have food, water, shelter and an education. This year we have completed our first orphanage, pictured in photos, for fifty six orphaned girls to live in. Other orphans in the school live within class buildings at the school.
Orphanage / MEDICAL CENTRE This brings me to our projects. We have built one orphanage and are now in the process of finding funds to build a medical centre to serve the orphans and the school .This will cover over 900 pupils and help the community in this area. This will cost £80,000 to build. The orphanages cost £70,000 to build.
If we can get the money quickly the build becomes cheaper- even half the cost.
If the money was endless then we would build more orphanages at the same time but our local contacts have advised us that the medical centre is their next, most urgent need.. The Work We are also looking for funding to enable the charity to release workers in order to build on and extend the good work already being carried out. Please let the charity know of anyway you can help in this area.
