Schools Work

Colin is an experienced teacher who can bring presentations and class lessons from year one to year six which will bring relevance to the classroom of a subject increasingly becoming part of the curriculum. The World community is becoming smaller and smaller and as a charity we can provide worthwhile sessions in schools including a class assemblies  which will bring the comparison between classrooms in poor parts of Africa and our own places of schooling here in the west.

Due to the depth of knowledge and experience of Colin he can bring the lessons alive and bring many aspects of African life and artifacts  to the classroom.Colin has taught for 14 years and has much experience to share but will not charge for this day or subsequent days.

African Day   The idea is that schools who are interested hold an African day which Colin will plan and run to meet any objectives the school wishes but on that day the children dress up in African dress or colours and bring a nominated amount which will go directly to the children under the charities care. Everything covered will cover National Curriculum objectives ranging from Geography to PSHCE

We can specifically look at helping specific classes and year groups in Uganda, Africa if the school wants to be involved in directing their raised funds.

If interested please contact Colin as soon as possible as dates are being snapped up.

'I invited Lifeline to come into school as the introduction to a geography topic on Africa with Years 1 and 2. Every child was blessed in their discovery of how life in Uganda is both similar and different to the lives they live. Lifeline introduced the National Curriculum key objectives for studying a contrasting locality in an exciting way. Included were opportunities to touch real artifacts and make observations through studying photographs. This stimulus has helped my children produce some great work.'
